Continuing with our last year project, we propose you an all level course, the first of its kind in Europe, for students comming from differents countries interested on individual practice and also on venezuelan traditional music ensemble, coached by professional venezuelan musicians who live in Europe and in Venezuela.

If your instrument is not mentioned above, please contact us, almost any instruments you can carry are welcome to the course. There will be complementary courses of initiation to venezuelan singing and percussion, master-class style lessons and other activities with information regarding Venezuelan music.


Every evening, the participants will play during the informal performances.
The teacher’s concert will be on Wednesday and students’ concert on Friday and  Saturday evening. 

Lessons: at Mirecourt Music School and  also in 2 rooms at "Internat du Lycée de Mirecourt"


Accommodation: double rooms at "Internat du Lycée de Mirecourt"


Fee: 540 euros per student for 8 days  from Saturday 16 o’clock to Sunday at 17 o’clock, food and room included. For booking 150 euros (no refundable) will be required  before April 30th 2012. The final balance is settled on or before July 1st, 2012

We can accommodate, if needed, some non students companions 
(350 Euros / week)

Ricardo Sandoval ( www.ricardosandoval.com )

Mandolinist, bandolinist, bandolist and composer, who has studied in Venezuela and Germany. He has been member of several groups studying and diffusing venezuelan criolla music. He participates in concerts and workshops in Europe, Japan, Colombia and Venezuela. Because his artistical and pedagogical experience, he is considered  as a reference in european and latinoamerican plectrum music.

Cristóbal Soto ( www.cristobalsoto.com )

Franco-Venezuelan composer and mandolin player, he also plays cuatro and guitar. He was a founder member of Ensamble Gurrufío, but also developed his career in Venezuela as a soloist and as great popular music singers accompanist. He was the director of the Institute of Music La Clavija (1980 - 1990), where he he developed an important educational experience in the field of traditional venezuelan music.


Leonidas Rondón


He plays cuatro, doble bass and is a composer. He took the 3rd place in “La Siembra del Cuatro” in 2007, and the 2nd place in "El Silbón" and "San Martín". After teaching cuatro soloist, music theory and doble bass at Merida School of Music ( 2003 - 2007 ), he is now an arranger of the “Orquesta Típica Merideña”, a Venezuelan orchestra, and a cuatro and doble bass player at the String Ensamble at the University of Los Andes.

Clarinet soloist from Venezuela, he is well known for playing classical, venezuelan and latin jazz music. He lives in London, where he studied at the Canterbury University and Trinity College of Music. He teaches clarinet, saxophone and flute. He is a Patrimony heritage of Margarita Island - Venezuela.
